Looking for a charming and unique getaway in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania? Look no further than the Midcentury A-frame in Hamlin, Pennsylvania. Nestled among the trees and within a few minutes walk to the lake, this little A-frame is a mid-century dream come true. After two years of renovations and lots of deliberations over the decor, it's finally ready to share, and the owners hope you'll love it just as much as they do.

Located in The Hideout, a gated community only two hours away from NYC, this charming cabin is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin offers a full chef's kitchen with hardwood teak countertops, a double farmhouse sink, a dishwasher, and a Nespresso machine. The dining table seats six, and a fold-away outdoor dining table can also be utilized if you'd like to eat outside.

The master suite is located at the back of the cabin, with a private entrance onto the back porch, and its own staircase to the bathroom with a view. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a queen bed and four skylights overlooking the trees. Downstairs, an additional third bedroom with a queen bed is available. Just note that when the house is at max capacity (six people), the third bedroom will be a walkthrough, and those in the master suite will need to use the private entrance.

The community offers many great amenities, including two lakes, two pools, tennis, volleyball, mini golf, and even its own tiny ski hill and lift! There is an art center where you can paint pottery and do an array of different crafts, a gym (located in the north section), a sauna in the changing rooms, basketball courts, and a golf course. Keep in mind that because this is a vacation and lake community, neighboring cabins are present. Nonetheless, it's still a private and large secluded lot.

The cabin also features outdoor seating on the front and wrap-around benches on a larger back deck with a fire pit, perfect for late-night ghost stories. Overall, the Midcentury A-frame in the Poconos Close to Lake is a charming and unique retreat in a beautiful natural setting. Two cute towns, Hawley and Honesdale, are around 25 minutes away from the cabin and boast many coffee shops, antique stores, restaurants, and railroad museums (great for children).
